Arts Week!

What a fantastic Arts Week we have had in Nursery this week! The children have created their own musical shakers using recyled materials and pasta and we have used them this week to explore creating music and different types of sounds with the Junk Orchestra. We had an exciting zoom WOW starter with them on Monday where we joined in with them to play lots of exciting music using different recycled every day items as instruments.

On Wednesday we had another fantastic music lesson with Mrs Green where we used our bodies and pencils to create music and on Thursday we enjoyed learning how to say the numbers in Spanish with Irene. The children have also been exploring doing some tree rubbings to make marks as part of our learning about 'The Great Kapok Tree'.

Today we have had our very own workshop with Junk Orchestra where we had the chance to play some of their own exciting instruments. We had a fantastic time and the children's listening skills at following instructions were amazing!
