Bible Society Visit

We were visited today by Mary from the Bible Society. In our session, we recapped our learning about Mary Jones and the journey that she made for a Bible.

We look at 10 different Bible that are written in different languages and tried to see if we could figure out what language they were written in. This was interesting to us as it wasn't as easy as we thought it would be! Some Bibles were read from right to left too.

We learnt that in some places where people can’t read, they are gifted with a ‘Proclaimer’ that reads the Bible to them in their language. We thought that this was special as it meant that everyone can experience God and Jesus through the stories in the Bible.
