Year Six working in the Infant Garden

Date: 16th Sep 2019 @ 12:23pm

After the summer holiday the Infant garden has become muddy. Because of this the first Eco team of the year set about putting down new bark chippings. The bark came in the morning and in the afternoon the team, helped by Nigel and Miss Sutton, used the wheel barrows to move the bags. There were 25! They then opened them and spread the bark. The bark is ideal for the task as it covers the muddy parts of the garden, stops weeds coming through and  makes it safe if children trip or fall. After completing the task there was time for some cutting back and weeding in the areas around the picnic tables. Thanks to the group for their hard work this week.
