Harvest Appeal - Five Ways to Well-being Day

For this year’s Harvest appeal, we chose to support Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind by taking part in our own Five Ways to Wellbeing Day. Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind provide mental health services in prevention, early intervention and primary care; alongside empowering individuals and our communities to live well. The money raised will help support everyone in our community to achieve positive mental health.  If you would like to find out more about the services offered, please visit: https://www.togmind.org/youth-mind

The Five Ways to Wellbeing (Connect, Be active, Take notice, Keep learning and Give) helped all of us to improve our mental health as we took part in a range of fun activities to promote these. If you would like some ideas of how you can promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing at home, please visit: https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/social-health/health-and-wellbeing/mental-health-and-wellbeing/five-ways-to-wellbeing/five-ways-to-wellbeing-young-people/five-ways-to-wellbeing-for-young-people.aspx

During the day, we particpated in lots of activities linked to the Five Ways to Wellbeing - connect, be active, keep learning, take notice and give.  We also worked with different organisations; these were Oldham Athletic Sports coaches; Tameside Nutrition Team and volunteers from TogMind.

Please take a look at our Twitter page to see some photos of the things we did that day.

Thank-you for your generosity,

The School Council 2022/2023
