Year 1
Welcome to the Year 1 Home Learning Area
**Learning Projects will be available from 4:00pm every Friday**
Hello to all of our lovely Year 1 children and parents. We miss you all!
Here you will find your weekly projects to have a go at completing whilst at home. Please see the general home learning page, where you can find other useful documents to support you during this time. You can also check our school twitter pages and our new facebook page to keep up to date with our stay at home challenges and fun ways to keep active.
Keeping in Touch
We would love to find out what you are all getting up to and we hope you are making wonderful memories with your families. If you take any photographs of what you have been up to, please share them with us by emailing them to admin@canonburrows.co.uk or you could tweet them to us! We would love to see!
When you're not completing home learning projects, make sure to spend lots of quality time with your families.
You could:
Have fun gardening. Visit these websites for some great ideas;

Do you love animals and the outdoors? Perhaps you'd like to be a vet when you're older? Visit the Young Vets Club website, who are also running fun daily challenges for you to participate in. https://www.youngvetsclub.com/daily-fun?mc_cid=95a7854490&mc_eid=2dba61c44b
Bake something delicious. Miss Clewlow has baked banana bread and Miss Adamson has baked rainbow birthday cake. Why not try baking some of the yummy easter treats that we have uploaded? Alternatively, you could visit Jamie Oliver's website for some tasty recipes.

Keep fit. We have all been really enjoying Joe Wicks daily PE sessions at 9am on Youtube; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAxW1XT0iEJo0TYlRfn6rYQ . You could come up with your own exercises just like Joe Wicks- we love the Spiderman and bunny hop exercises! Can you do the exercises on our twitter PE page to spell out Miss Clewlow and Miss Adamson? What about trying your own name? See picture below!.
-Read your favourite books and relax. Every day at 11am, David Walliams will be reading one of his 'Worst Children' stories if this is something that interests you. Visit this link to access: https://soundcloud.com/harpercollinspublishers/the-worlds-worst-children-by/s-dqoZWNyMFFq
Access my happy mind to ensure your mind stays healthy and happy. There are some great happy breathing resources to acess. Why not combine this with some yoga? There are some brilliant yoga and mindfulness videos on youtube. Miss Clewlow has been enjoying yoga in the evenings.
We miss you all and look forward to being back in school together, learning and having fun!
Take care and stay safe everyone. We hope to see you all soon.
