Nursery Admissions

Admissions to Nursery are administered here at the school. Our Nursery currently offers 15 hour place. This is Monday to Friday from 8.45-11.45am.

Children can start Nursery the September after their 3rd birthday. If we have places available later in the year places will be offered to children to begin the term after their 3rd birthday.

Reception Admissions

Applications can be made at https://www.tameside.gov.uk/schools/admissions

At Canon Burrows we offer a 60 place Reception class. Reception class children are admitted at the beginning of the school year [September] in the school year that they will reach the age of 5. If there are not enough places available for the number of applications in Reception the school's admissions criteria will be applied. Details of all the applications made will be forwarded to the school by the local authority.  Parents seeking a place under criteria 3 or 6 of our admission criteria (see below) must obtain a supplementary information form from the school and arrange for it to be completed by the Church Leader and returned to the school by the closing date for applications. Applications made under criteria 2 must be supported by written evidence from a GP, medical consultant or social worker, which must be returned to the school by the closing date for applications.

This is such an important decision and we would love to welcome you on a tour for you to find out about all that we have to offer for your child. Please contact the admissions department at Tameside Authority and read the important information below about applying and our admission policy.
